San Francisco, CA (and the Bay Area): It’s good to be here

The three of us were so excited to make it to California. With Emmy as our tour guide, we spent several days exploring the San Fran sights. We had a fun time around town! As you can see by our outfits, it was actually rather chilly in SF—much colder and foggier than the surrounding area (apparently the fog has a name, Karl). Here they say "The coldest winter I ever had was a summer in San Francisco". SF is the land of startup companies and techies—Claire and I really need to get up-to-date on everything internet related before we return! But there is great energy here and tons of passionate young people. A great place to be! Thanks to Kristin for hosting us in this amazing city! We can’t wait to come back (especially Theresa).

The view from up top. So hilly!
Lombard St: the windiest road in America!

Getting rowdy at the San Fran Jazz Festival

"Whatever happened to predictability"....The Full House house!

Hanging in the park

Trolly ride!

HAD to go to Ghirardelli!

Hanging out at Fisherman's Wharf

Theresa's favorite part of the day: A lefty store!

Walking the Golden Gate Bridge!

Exploring Haight-Ashbury, the hip part of town

Beer and bowling fun. Thanks for hosting us Kristin!
When we weren’t in SF, we explored the Bay area including Berkeley and Stanford. Maybe more schoolings for us in the future? Haha.

We spent a bit of time in Cupertino where we trekked around Google’s campus (and accidentally rode the employee-only bikes) and hiked up to Hunter’s Point to overlook the Bay. We are sad to depart Emmy in Cupertino but had SUCH a fun time over the last 10 days! Thanks Emmy for taking this part of the trip awesome!

If you work here, you can tan and eat freshly grown tomatoes on your lunch break!
No, we don't work here (yet)
We don't really get it...

Overlooking the Bay Area. Can't wait to come back!
